Ascend was founded in 2021 by Jon and Henriette Albon from a simple frustration - trail running apps weren’t actually built for the trail. They treated every run the same, ignoring gradient, terrain and the demands that trails place on your body.
Jon and Henriette’s training approach understands that load and not just distance or time, has the biggest impact on the trail. Ascend exists to bring that approach to more trail runners and help them perform at their best.
Our goal is to help you train in a way that respects the trail and your body. To understand when to push, when to recover, and how to avoid overtraining. We’re here to give trail runners training that truly understands what they’re training for, and helps them get there.
